Divers and activity travellers

Route through Kadmat via Kavaratti. Confirm diving centre availability on Kadmat before booking seaplane sectors.

Short trips (3–4 days)

Minimise sectors. Kochi–Kalpeni return with a Kavaratti day trip, or Agatti flight with one inter-island transfer, reduces weather risk.

Is there a direct Kochi to Kavaratti seaplane?

Not as a single sector. On the published timetable, Kochi to Kavaratti is a same-day connection — Kochi–Kalpeni (07:30, or 10:00 on 18 September) then Kalpeni–Kavaratti, arriving Kavaratti around 09:45. We confirm seats and reporting times when you enquire.

Can I take a seaplane between Lakshadweep islands?

Yes. The published timetable includes scheduled inter-island sectors between Kalpeni, Kavaratti, Kadmat and Agatti (daily except Tuesdays), with Kavaratti as the hub. Kiltan sectors are not on the current timetable. Each sector must be booked in advance — they are not walk-up shuttles.

Which is the best seaplane route for first-time visitors?

Kochi to Kalpeni followed by Kalpeni to Kavaratti is a popular first itinerary. Alternatively, fly Kochi to Agatti conventionally and take Agatti to Kavaratti by seaplane. Choice depends on your dates, budget and island preferences.
