Is there a Lakshadweep seaplane timetable? Yes. The operating carrier has published a seaplane schedule running from 18 September 2026 to 14 October 2026, operating daily except Tuesdays. It covers a single daily circuit linking Kochi with Kalpeni, Kavaratti, Kadmat and Agatti. This page shows the published timings for every sector, explains how the operating days and opening-day schedules work, and covers weather, booking and travel-day planning. Timings for travel after 14 October 2026 are not yet published — confirm those by enquiry.

Sectors on this timetable: Kochi–Kalpeni, Kalpeni–Kochi, Kalpeni–Kavaratti, Kavaratti–Kalpeni, Kavaratti–Kadmat, Kadmat–Kavaratti, Kavaratti–Agatti, Agatti–Kavaratti. Kiltan sectors and any travel after 14 October 2026 are not covered — enquire for those.

How the Schedule Works

The seaplane operates as one aircraft flying a daily circuit, not as independent point-to-point routes. It leaves Kochi in the morning, works through the islands via Kavaratti as the hub, and returns to Kochi in the late afternoon. You book the specific sector or sectors you need within that circuit.

• 18 September 2026 — opening day, with its own timings and no Kadmat sector.
• 19 September 2026 — second day, with a separate set of timings that adds one Kadmat rotation.
• 20 September – 14 October 2026 — the settled daily circuit, with two Kadmat rotations. These are the timings that apply for most travel dates.
• Tuesdays — no seaplane service (22 & 29 September, 6 & 13 October).

Because it is a single circuit, an inter-island sector such as Kavaratti–Agatti runs only once (or twice, for Kadmat) per operating day. Plan connections around those fixed slots rather than assuming shuttle-style frequency.

Route Status

The table below shows the verified status of every identified Lakshadweep seaplane sector. Scheduled sectors are on the published timetable above; other sectors must be confirmed by enquiry.

Mainland Timings: Kochi to Lakshadweep

On the published timetable the Kochi to Kalpeni sector departs Kochi at 07:30 (10:00 on 18 September) and lands at Kalpeni lagoon about 80 minutes later. To continue to Kavaratti, Kadmat or Agatti you take the connecting inter-island sectors on the same circuit that day — arriving Kavaratti around 09:45, Kadmat from about 10:30, and Agatti around 11:55.

The return Kalpeni to Kochi sector is the last leg of the circuit, reaching Kochi in the late afternoon (17:05, or 16:35 on 18 September). Because it is an afternoon mainland arrival, do not book tight same-day onward flights or trains from Kochi. See the mainland routes guide for detail.

Inter-Island Timings

Inter-island sectors — Kalpeni–Kavaratti, Kavaratti–Kadmat, Kavaratti–Agatti and their return legs — run at fixed times within the daily circuit. Kavaratti acts as the hub, so most island-to-island journeys pass through it. Kadmat has two rotations per operating day (from 20 September); the other inter-island sectors have one.

Multi-island itineraries should still be planned as a set of booked sectors — you cannot buy a same-day ticket at the jetty. Inter-island boats remain the fallback when a seaplane sector is weather-affected. The Kavaratti–Kiltan sector is not on the current timetable.

Weather, Lagoon Conditions and Delays

A published timetable does not remove weather risk. Seaplane sectors are more weather-sensitive than conventional flights. Factors that can delay or cancel a sector include:

• Strong winds across open water between Kochi and the islands
• Rough lagoon conditions at the landing point
• Poor visibility during rain
• Operational decisions by the carrier on the day of travel

Reconfirm your sector 24–48 hours before travel and again on the morning of departure. Build at least one buffer day around seaplane sectors — especially before a conventional flight from Agatti or a mainland departure from Kochi.

Seasonal Patterns and Travel After 14 October 2026

The published timetable covers the second half of the shoulder season. General Lakshadweep travel conditions still follow seasonal patterns:

• October to March — generally calmer seas and higher tourism demand; enquire early for peak weeks
• April to May — shoulder season; heat increases
• June to September (monsoon) — rougher seas and heavier rain; sea and air operations are more frequently disrupted

For travel after 14 October 2026, the operator has not yet published timings. Send your dates and we will confirm whether the schedule has been extended or revised.

2. Submit an enquiry with your date, sector(s) and number of travellers — seats are limited, so book early

4. Align permit, accommodation and onward transport before payment
5. Receive written booking confirmation — treat this as your ticket for that sector

Seaplane Schedule vs Agatti Flight Schedule

Conventional flights to Agatti from Kochi, Bengaluru and Goa run on their own airline timetables — separate from the seaplane circuit. If you are combining a seaplane sector with an Agatti flight, confirm both legs in writing and keep buffer time; the seaplane reaches Agatti only once per operating day.

What to Expect on Your Travel Day

Your booking confirmation states the reporting time and boarding point. On the day:

• Arrive at the designated water landing / boarding point early — reporting is ahead of the published departure time
• Carry printed permit, photo ID and booking confirmation
• Pack within the baggage allowance — Typical allowance: approximately 12 kg per person, based on currently available service information. Exact allowance depends on the operating aircraft and carrier and must be confirmed before travel.
• Stay in contact with your coordinator if weather is marginal — sectors can be delayed or cancelled with short notice even on the published timetable
